Information for short-term course

There will be 4 openings in 2021

(April 2021, July 2021, October 2021, January 2022)

Auditing Period

Period One Monday April 12th, 2021 - Wednesday June 30th, 2021
Period Two Thursday July 1st, 2021 - Friday September 24th, 2021
Period Three Friday October 1st, 2021 - Friday December 24th, 2021
Period Four Wednesday January 5th, 2022 - Wednesday March 16th, 2022

Registration, Orientation, Placement Testing, and the Entrance Ceremony will all have before class starts.
Lesson times: 9:00 - 12:30, or 13:30 - 17:00 (Saturday, Sundays, Holidays, and school
                     vacation days are exempt).
                     45 minute classes x 4 periods (10 minute breaks in between classes).

  • It is possible to extend your course period to the next period (for example, Period One to Period Two), but this will require a reapplication. In addition, you will be required to leave Japan and reobtain a short-term visa.
  • On given circumstances, auditing periods 2 and/or 4 may be temporarily closed.

You must apply at least 2 weeks before the scheduled start of classes.

* Textbook fees are included in the school fees.

2. ID Photo (3cm x 4cm) 2 Copies
 Attach 1 digital copy to the excel application form.
   Submit the other physical copy to the office after arriving in Japan.

3. A copy of your passport (the page with your photograph on it)

Class Registration

  1. Submit your application by email. Address:info@abk.ac.jp
  2. If we ask for additional documents, please submit these by email or postal mail.
  3. School Screening Acceptance Letter.
  4. School Fee Payment.
  5. Obtaining a Short-term Visa, Coming to Japan.
  6. Short-term Student Registration and Orientation.
  7. Placement Test.
  8. Admitting Permit.
  9. Entrance Ceremony (Period one & Period Three students)
  10. Class Confirmation, Admitting Commencement.

Please Note

  • Short-term students are registered as non-regular students and can take fixed classes only during study period.
  • Short-term students must obey class teachers' instructions for ex. attendance of fixed classes, submission of homework and reports, attendance of mini tests and regular tests. In case that short-term student's study condition has any problems, he/she may be not allowed to take classes.
  • Short-term students cannot apply for scholarships and recommendation system of university entrance that our institute offers.
  • Short-term students cannot apply for student discount bus or train passes. (Commuter's passes are still available).
  • Short-term students who hold Temporary Visitor Visa cannot do a part-time jobs in Japan.
  • Short-term students must get accident and medical insurance for overseas tourists etc. by themselves.
  • If those who didn't get overseas travel insurance must get insurance that we introduce after entry into Japan.
